Joel Ellis – New Media Production Major
I “LOVE” the Arts, weather its Music, Video, Photo, Drawings, Paintings or Live art. Originated from the Bahamas, I come from a rich culture of Art, the Late Great “Count Bernadino”, was a great musician/entertainer, that traveled the world entertaining people and the likes of, The Queen of England, Presidents of the United States, Nixon and Kennedy, to name a few.
I inherited his “LOVE” for the Arts, as I am a professional Disc Jockey/Entertainer, and like my late father, I too have performed for A Class Celebrities, like Micheal Jordan, Jimmy Buffet, Celine Dion, to name a few. Through the University of Tampa, I have become quite proficient in many softwares, such as, Adobe Photoshop, premiere Pro, Illustrator, After Effects, Audition, Dreamweaver, Audition, Logic Pro, Avid, and DaVinci, I am also proficient in the music softwares Reason and Garage Band.
I would love to take my skills and use them at an organization that would allow me to flourish as a creative person. I know that whatever organization I aline myself with, will be more than pleased with my creativity, efficiency (the timely manner in which the work will be done), the passion and dedication that I would bring to any organization. I will also continue to work on my Sister’s album, and music videos, her name is, “NITA”, and she is the leading female entertainer/Steel Pan Player, in the Bahamas.
All the skills that I have been taught, at The University of Tampa, are being incorporated into my Senior Project. For my Senior, I am producing a Song called,”Da Party”, it is about all the different circumstances that unfold in a party/club environment. The chorus say’s, “What Happens In The Party, Stay’s In The Party”. I am also shooting, directing, producing and editing the video.
