Jason Ryan is a Senior at the University of Tampa and is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in New Media Production. Originally from Delran, New Jersey and Jason came down to Florida for a fresh start. Since coming to UT, Jason has been heavily involved in Lambda Chi Alpha being a founding father and holding positions such as Philanthropy Chairman and President. After being President, Jason took a step back from the fraternity to focus more on developing his major and skills.
Throughout Jason’s college career he has attained a wide set of skills in many areas such as film, photography, graphic design, coding, music, and 3-D animation. While this knowledge is useful, he has decided to focus more on film and photography as his future career path.
In January 2019, Jason traveled to Thailand to film a short documentary about a hill tribe village called Ma Oh Jo, and their rise from poverty to prosperity through the help of a non-profit NGO called Integrated Tribal Development Program (ITDP). Ever since this trip, his passion has grown into wanting to tell more of these stories so he can make an impact on the world around him.
While Jason is unsure as to where the future may take him he is excited to see what lies ahead. He hopes that one day he can have his own production house or at least successful freelance business and is willing to put in the work to make that dream a reality.
